The word ‘ENAMEL’ refers to glass material. Vitreous Enamel is glass, bonded by fusion to a metal surface. Enamelling is an old technique & mainly used in jewellery & decorative arts. This workshop aims to introduce participants to the practical skills of enamelling, enabling them to create their own unique pieces of art.

About the facilitator:
With 26 years of experience in Metalsmithing, Enamelling, and Jewellery, Meghan Salgaonkar comes from a family of traditional Indian Goldsmiths and Jewellery Designers-Makers. He has participated in and conducted numerous National and International Enamel Workshops, Exhibitions, and Symposiums. His artistic journey is rooted in the rich traditions of Jewellery, Metalsmithing & Vitreous Enamelling, with a unique foundation built in studios across both India and Europe. In his own studio, studioMESA, in Sawantwadi, he brings this vision to life by creating intricate jewellery and enamel works.
