José Artur dos Santos Pestana is a Conservator-Restorer of Mural Painting based in Lisbon, Portugal.

He is the founding partner of the Mural Painting Conservation and Restoration Company 'MURAL DA HISTÓRIA' Lda. and has been co-responsible for all technical and research work as well as publications made within the scope of the Company.

Our main objective of 'Conservation and Restoration of Mural Paintings' presentation held on 12th December 2020, was to provide an understanding of the works of conservation and restoration of the murals carried out in the Church of Santa Monica and Museum of Christian Art – MOCA.
