A Curated Walkthrough of Exhibitions on St. Francis Xavier on the Holy Hill, Old Goa
Embark on an immersive journey through the rich history and spiritual legacy of St. Francis Xavier at the Holy Hill in Old Goa, where the story of this revered saint is brought to life through a series of captivating exhibitions.
The walk will begin at the Footprints of Hope Exhibition at the Convent of St John of God where participants will view an extraordinary collection of paintings that vividly capture the defining moments of St. Xavier’s life and work.
Participants will continue their exploration, by delving into a remarkable selection of memorabilia, letters, and historical documents in Goa Familia's Sacred Archives: Memories and Objects exhibit in the Church of Santa Monica.
Finally, participants will explore a unique exhibit, Various Expositions through Philately 1931-2024 by Rolando de Melo, that showcases the fascinating history of the Exposition of the Relics of St. Francis Xavier, with a collection of commemorative stamps issued over the years.
