Exploring the Exposition of St. Francis Xavier’s relics over the years
Presented as part of Goa Familia’s Archive of Potential (Goan) Futures as part of Serendipity Arts Festival 2024, this sub-exhibition, in collaboration with the Museum of Christian Art, delves into the rich cultural and spiritual legacy of St. Francis Xavier’s Exposition—a sacred tradition that is deeply embedded in Goa’s heritage.
By tracing the veneration of the saint's relics over generations, the exhibition reveals the collective memory and lasting significance of this practice for the Goan community.
Through a carefully curated selection of objects, archival materials, and narratives, it demonstrates how the relics of St. Francis Xavier continues to inspire devotion, foster community bonds, and shape Goa’s sacred landscape.
