The Museum of Christian Art is hosting SADHANA – An Exhibition of Spiritual Artworks by Clarice Vaz in December 2017.
Clarice Vaz is a self trained contemporary Abstract Artist from Saligao, Goa. Initially
she painted a lot of images of her village, Saligao. Fascinated with the flow and
movement of vibrant colours, she then began to experiment with fluid painting and
spin painting techniques. Her work was well received by the Goan public. Being a
nurse by profession, she felt comfortable using a syringe than a paint brush and so
embarked on creating her own unique style which she calls SYRINGE Painting!
Besides using a syringe she also uses various unconventional tools such as combs,
forks, hairbrushes, straws and more while painting.
Clarice has taken part in various exhibitions over the years and her works have found
a special place in the hearts of Goans now spread around the world.
Sadhana will be inaugurated on the 12th of December, 2017 at 18:30 hours at the
Church of Santa Monica, Old Goa by Most Rev. Filipe Neri Ferrao, the Arch Bishop
of Goa and Daman and a child from Mother Teresa’s Home.
The Exhibition will be open to the public from the 13th of December, 2017 till 2nd
January, 2018.
To meet and interact with the artist Clarice Vaz during the exhibition, the Museum
