Join us for the opening of “Walking Across Goa with MoCA”, a special exhibition that marks three decades of the Museum of Christian Art’s dedication to preserving and sharing the cultural and artistic heritage of Goa. Over the past three years, the museum has hosted a series of immersive heritage walks that take participants on a journey through the heart of Goa’s villages, each centered on exploring the history, art, and architecture of a different church or chapel. These walks delve into the intricate details of church facades, elaborate altars, centuries-old paintings, and other artistic and architectural treasures that reflect Goa’s unique blend of cultures and traditions.

Through this exhibition, the museum brings together a rich tapestry of visual narratives, showcasing stunning photographs and stories from these walks. Visitors will get a closer look at the fine craftsmanship of the churches, the religious and cultural significance of their design, and the diverse influences that shaped Goa’s Christian heritage. The exhibition not only celebrates Goa’s artistic legacy but also fosters a deeper connection with the region’s vibrant history.
