Wednesday Sewcials at MoCA with Miriam
The process of slow stitching is intuitive, calming and centering. It allows one to enter into a state of creative flow.
It explores the connection between process and material, focusing on stitch, print, surface manipulation and construction to create delightful textile surfaces. All we need is fabric, needle and thread and using simple repetitive stitch marks.
Collect together pieces of fabric you might have around you, clothes you don’t use any longer, an old pillowcase or tea towel and bobs and bits like buttons, ribbon, decorative fabric trims, embroidered patches, jewellery bits, beads, crochet, sequins and even old photos and postcards.
These fortnightly 2 hour sessions in the beautiful, calm oasis of MoCA, allow us to take time away from our busy lives and racing minds to gift ourselves a shared restorative experience of creativity and serenity.
Suggested donation per session: Rs.500.00
